The series is set in a fictional edition of Malibu, California, USA where all its inhabitants are dolls. Dolls behave like humans, though many of the show’s gigs rely on their doll-like nature. The series focuses on the lives of Barbie, her friends, siblings, her boyfriend, Ken and many pets. The series has been portrayed as a mock reality show, identifying the characters in between scenes. This show relies on heavy slap humor, and gives much more satiriful and self-parody references on the Barbie dance line. There are various misconceptions in a doll-sized version of Malibu with Barbie’s own friends and sisters. The series is set as a reality TV-Esc show after Barbie and her pals Ken, Teresa, Nikki, Midge, Samar, Ryan and Raily. As her sisters, the skippers, Stasi and Chelsea and their pets face the horse, taffy the dog and the Blisa cat involved in day-to-day activities that occur in the dreamlike and nearby areas. The show is derived from parody apart from humour.
